Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse was founded in 2008 with a singular vision: to bring the rich culinary traditions of Southern Brazil to the United States with uncompromising authenticity and exceptional hospitality. What began as a single location in San Antonio, Texas has grown into one of the premier authentic Brazilian steakhouse groups in the country, welcoming guests across four cities and earning a reputation for culinary excellence that speaks for itself.

The name Chama Gaucha translates to “Gaucho’s Flame” in Portuguese. It represents the fiery passion, precision, and expertise that our team brings to every dish we serve. Additionally, it honors the gauchos of Southern Brazil, the skilled horsemen and herders whose centuries-old tradition of cooking meat over an open flame gave birth to the art of churrasco. Because we hold ourselves to the highest standards, we source only Midwest USDA Prime beef, corn-fed and aged 45 days for maximum tenderness and flavor. Our gauchos train extensively in the art of churrasco, mastering the techniques passed down through generations of Brazilian culinary tradition.
